Prayer of Saint Bonaventure~Meditation III

"May my soul ever compass Thee, seek Thee, find thee, run to Thee
attain Thee, meditate upon Thee, speak of Thee,
and do all things to the praise and glory of Thy Name,
with humility and discretion, with love and delight,
with ease and affection
and with perserverence unto the end.
May Thou alone be ever my hope, my entire assurance!
Jesus~my riches my delight my pleasure my joy
Jesus~my rest and tranquility
Jesus~my peace my sweetness
Jesus~my fragrance my sweet savor
Jesus~my food my refreshment
Jesus~my refuge my help
Jesus~my wisdom my portion
Jesus~my posession, my treasure
Jesus~in Whom my mind and my heart may ever be fixed
and firmly rooted immovably henceforth and forever."
Amen.
 Saint Bonaventure said,
"He who wishes to go on advancing
from virtue to virtue, from grace to grace,
should constantly meditate upon
the passion of Jesus Christ."

Prayer of Saint Bonaventure ~Meditation II

"...Let my heart ever hunger after Thee,
upon Whom the angels desire to Look.
And my my inmost soul be filled
with the sweetness of Thy savor.
May my soul ever thirst after Thee, the fountain of life,
the fountain of wisdom and knowledge,
the fountain of eternal light, the torrent of pleasure,
the richness of the house of our Blessed Lord."

 Saint Bonaventure said,
"He who wishes to go on advancing
from virtue to virtue, from grace to grace,
should constantly meditate upon
the passion of Jesus Christ."

Prayer of Saint Bonaventure~Meditation I

"Pierce O most sweet Lord Jesus, my inmost soul
with the most joyous and healthful wound of Thy love,
with true, serene, and most holy apostolic charity,
that my soul may ever languish and melt with love and longing for Thee,
that my soul may ever long for Thee and faint for Thy courts,
and long to be dissolved and to be with Thee.
(St. Kateri Shrine, NY)
Grant that my soul may ever hunger after Thee, the Bread of Angels,
the refreshment of holy souls, our daily and Supersubstantial Bread,
having all sweetness and savor and every delight of taste..."
Saint Bonaventure said,
"He who wishes to go on advancing
from virtue to virtue, from grace to grace,
should constantly meditate upon
the passion of Jesus Christ."

O give thanks

O give thanks to the Lord
For He is good
His mercy endureth
Forever and ever.

sharing the sweetness

While gathering raspberries with a friend
Delighting in the sweetness of the berries
That somehow did not make it into our baskets
And enjoying sweet mommy memories of our growing children

We discovered a charming little guest...
God blessed us with yet another reason to smile

Spctacular

From a little hill,
we saw beautiful fireworks
and watched the moon rise.
It was spectacular!

waves of love

Especially when I need you most
You are so present to me
Surrounding me in sweet prayer
A brilliant floral multitude
Colors rejoicing in the early autumn breeze

When Moms Pry Together

When Moms pray together
The Holy Spirit's gifts abound
God's grace fills souls
Christ's peace reins

Mary inspired humble faithfulness is unperturbed
Angel Choirs surround
Saint's intercession is roused
Hearts are filled with gratitude
Joy supplants fear
When Moms pray together

and remember what peace there may be in silence."

Deliver Me, Jesus

Litany of Humility written by Cardinal Del Val:
O Jesus, meek and humble of heart, hear me...
From the desire of being esteemed
~ Deliver me Jesus
From the desire of being loved
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being extolled
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being honored
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being praised
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being preferred to others
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being consulted
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the desire of being approved
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being humiliated
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being despised
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of suffering rebukes
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being calumniated
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being forgotten
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being ridiculed
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being wronged
Deliver me, Jesus.
From the fear of being suspected
Deliver me, Jesus.
That others may be loved more than I
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be esteemed more than I
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be chosen and I set aside
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be praised and I unnoticed
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may be preferred to me in everything
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
That others may become holier than I,
provided that I may become as holy as I should
Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.
